The CNC Simulator Pro License Manager provides tools for managing your software licenses effectively. Here’s a guide to each feature and how to use them.
Accessing Your Licenses
- Login: After logging in, the License Manager displays a table of your current licenses, with details including License ID, Type, Status, Expiration Date, and License Type.
- License Details: Each license entry shows:
- License ID: Unique identifier for the license.
- Type: Identifies the license as Platinum, Free, or Trial.
- Status: Current status (Active, Blocked, or Expired).
- Expiration Date: Shows when the license expires, or "Perpetual" for licenses without expiration.
- License Type: Indicates if the license is file-based or string-based.
License Actions
1. Edit License
- Select the Edit button beside a license entry to open a pop-up window where you can view or update:
- Screen Name: Customize the name that appears on the welcome screen.
- License Key and Status: For multi-seat Platinum licenses only, the license key (or file) is visible, along with reset and move options if available.
2. Reset Client List
- Purpose: Clears all devices linked to the license. Useful if you encounter issues connecting new devices or want to reset connections.
- Usage: In the Edit pop-up, select Reset Client List if available, then confirm.
Note: This option depends on the remaining resets allowed for your license.
3. Recreate License File / License String
- Purpose: Generates a new license file or string, blocking all devices currently using the old version. Users will need the new license file or key to access the software.
- Usage: In the Edit pop-up, select Recreate License File or Recreate License String:
- File-Based License: Choose Recreate License File.
- String-Based License: Choose Recreate License String.
- Important: When recreating a license file or string, all current users with the old file or key will be blocked immediately and will require the new file or string for access.
4. Move License
- Purpose: Allows you to transfer a license from one device to another, available only for single-user Platinum licenses.
- Usage: Click Request to Move in the Edit pop-up, then enter the destination License ID.
5. Delete License
- Purpose: Permanently removes Free or Trial licenses that are no longer needed.
- Usage: Select Delete next to the license entry and confirm the action to finalize deletion.
